Staying connected

During this Pandemic many businesses are working harder than ever to stay connected with their clients.

In order to ensure we are staying connected with our clients we have set up WhatsApp Groups, a Face book Pilates Community (for clients only) and continue to post on our normal Facebook page and Instagram account.

Reaching out through emails

As a next phase of our communication plan during this crisis we decided to use emails and to do that selected Mail chimp to help us.

Mail chimp is a company which provides an on line resource for businesses to promote themselves across email, social media and other means – all from a single platform.  It helps us communicate and find out what communication works so we can learn and improve.

If you would really like to find out more about it please click on the link below and it will provide all the information you need about this company.

Our first email to you

When we asked clients for their email address this was in order to add people to a Studio subscriber list.  Why?  Simply because if you don’t have proven permission to email the addresses on your mailing lists, you are sending spam.

When we sent out the first email on Good Friday announcing new options ahead we discovered:

  • Some of you didn’t see it because it went into your junk mail!
  • Others saw it and thought it was spam because you didn’t recognise the source.
  • The majority of you opened it, read it, responded to it and thanked us for keeping in touch.
  • Some never received it at all.
  • Quite a large number of the first email sent ‘bounced’.

Emails being bounced

Emails being bounced can be caused by an invalid email address or an unexpected error during sending.

Soft bounces are recognised by the email server, but are returned to the sender for a variety of reasons. This can include issues like the mailbox being full or temporarily unavailable or perhaps the email itself being considered spam.

Mail chimp required us to re-send the email asking you to confirm that you were willing to receive emails from us via Mail chimp.  It is called opting in and our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Check your Inbox and Junk Box

We would be most grateful if you would look for the email in your junk box or inbox and follow the directions for confirming your subscription which means you are giving us permission to email you.

The email will be coming from me as I am the administrator of our Mail chimp account.

The email will be entitled: ‘Mail Chimp is asking for a reconfirmation of your email address’

Below the message there will be a red/orange rectangle which says ‘Confirm Subscription’.  Please click on this and follow the next few and easy steps if you wish to remain on our emailing list.

Thank you so much.

Tom Bathgate.

I teach evidenced based posture analysis, and train our teachers in posture specific Pilates and not repertoire Pilates.
