Most people beginning Pilates for the first time start with a course of Mat classes. Here the journey begins, as you discover how to engage your deeper core muscles and strengthen them to take on all that life may require!
In a mat class there are 10 to 12 participants. These sessions tend to incorporate a variety of exercises including standing, or exercising on all fours, on your back, on your tummy, lying on your side, and from a seated position. The sessions aim to wake up the whole posture enabling better movement through life.
Measurable improvements in strength, flexibility and tone can be achieved.
